A tiny, small and potentially the world's rarest 'ninja' snake was found to be in my bathroom few days ago. I was minding my own 'business' when I went to the toilet around 9am in the morning when I saw a long tail-like creature wiggling about under my sight (I wasn't wearing my glasses). I took some pictures of it, and I decided to let it be until I found a way to capture it. It disappeared during lunch, only to reappear during dinner. After we ate, we decided to capture when it mysteriously disappeared. I had the door locked, twice and there was no other door open for it to slip out.

My experience with Win 7? Fancy. Slick and smooth. It is Vista's goodies without the usual Vista going 'oh-noes-I-gonna-eat-your-memory'. The Media Center was very fancy, and nice. I wish I tagged all my album art properly before I post this screenie.

Anyway, anyone who wants to try Windows 7 can download it and install for a 30days evaluation copy. After 30days you can't use it unless you activate it of course. Unless. You install the *ahem* *cough* patch for it.

Ok, I've been lazy and neglected the updates for my blog. But here's a big update with lotsa pictures. I've recently organized a 4 pax trip to Malacca, the people who attended was Coca, Michelle and Gary.

20th Nov 2008 -

I took a bus to Johor Bahru to meet up with Coca, and in the same time go around the shopping malls in JB. There is alot of shopping malls in JB and I went to only a few, namely:

Took a bus from JB - Malacca, then onto a RM30 (my god expensive) to Everly Hotel & Resort Malacca in Pantai Klebang. It was a nice place, with our apartment being a seaview room with kitchen. The room needed cleaning soon after we arrived but thanks to my skills, it was shiny and glossy in no time.

This is the sad day where I gotta leave my lovely apartment in Everly Resorts Malacca. We took a Transnational express bus to KL, which sucked. It was late 30 mins and made us miss our train back to Ipoh. The train ticket wasn't cheap, RM 57 for two persons with sleeping seats. Since Michelle & Gary already went back to Ipoh, I called up Kok Meng to help. Thanks man! So we brought another (sucky) express bus called Express Selat back to Ipoh. It took 2h 30m! What the...

I kinda feel like I am a monthly blogger, instead of normal daily ones. Oh well, sometimes you don't feel like typing. You know, those days where your laziness reaches its peak...

Ok here are some stuffs at happened during October! Which I can say it is a month of full surprises and unexpected happenings.

First off would be...

1. Tambun Hot Spring With Pretty Gals!

Yes you heard me, I went the Sunway Lost World hot spring with 3 other girls (suddenly I feel like I'm a womanizer. Damn). So the place was great and it well worth the RM 5 that we paid for. But I hope you don't go on weekends, because it will be jammed pack full of people and you end up being boiled sardines.

2. Kevin's Birthday! And I Got Wasted!

Yep, Mr. Soon got wasted by alcohol in late October (he cannot even remember the process). He just knew he got whacked with 3x lemon drop vodka, 10%-20% volume of Chivas in a bowl, a expresso cup full of Gin! (damn it tasted like shit), 2 glasses of stout+beer, and 2 shots of Tequila.

There he was, sleeping nearby the girls toilet when he went to Bamboo in KL... He totally got wasted. And the next morning, it felt like this head was going to explode. No more man, no more. A message to all you drinkers out there

3. Dinner At Kampai !!

Ok, I treated my family (again) with dinner at a Japanese restaurant in town. It it just before the turning into Ipoh City Hotel (after KFC and Pizza Hut right turning). I know the directions are bad but just look for the row of shops where Akojaya is...

The place is called Kampai (Japanese for 'Cheers!'). The ergonomics was not bad, but the furniture could have been better. The food was in generous amounts and value for money, it was delicious. Too bad I forgot to take snapshots of the food but why not try it out yourselves? :D

>New racquet!!

I recently brought a new badminton racquet for a price of RM 180 (I'm such an ass right) . Here are some specifications. It plays well and I think it was a good buy despite the price.

Then I moved on to purchase a new graphics card for my Pentium 4. I finally could play Call of Duty 4 online !! Its a budget card and I would recommend it to anyone who has a tight budget but require an entry-level card. [ Powercolor ATi HD 3650 ]

Then I modded my room to look like a cyber cafe. Kinda like a gaming station right? My room is 24 hours under constant engagement.

Its not what you think it is. It is not a picture from a dark room nor the liquid is blood. Thats one of the things I ate in Aroi, a steamboat restaurant near my area. It was kinda unique because everyone had their own steamboat pot, mini ones. Oh and for your info, that thing there (I think its a Mollusc) sucked big time! It tasted like... Fish rectum!

Located at Medan Ipoh (Behind Jusco), just at the back of Tesco Ipoh. You will be able to see it on your left when your going to McDonalds from Tesco.

Had a dinner there with my family while I was on my way to McD. My brother suddenly shouted "Hey look! Japanese restaurant!" just after the turning to McD. I must admit my family is a fan of Japanese and Korean food so I had no choice to turn back and head to the restaurant.

Too bad I couldn't take any pictures of the food there, I ate them all before I realized I could.

Price : Expensive
Value : Worthwhile
Quality : Excellent food and services.

RM 63.60 for 6 types of food. Mostly sushi and bento. The bento (lunch box) is highly recommended.

Upgrade Day !!

After scrutinizing every possible LCD monitor out in the market here in Ipoh, I've decided to upgrade my old 17" CRT (big ass monitors) to a 19" LCD Widescreen (Slender beauties). My current collection of personal computers include a AMD Sempron, a Pentium 4 and a Pentium 3. Well there was also the ancient Pentium MMX that I once had before it died out 3 years ago.

The Pentium 4 has only one primary objective for existence. Online gaming. Gaming often late into night, the user has to be prepared with loads of liquid to compensate for going to the toilet often. As seen above, a total of 3 cups have been spotted.

Ah, my trusted AMD Sempron 1.7Ghz. This old mule has the role of 24hour-PC-Delivery service. Often switched on for hours onto the night, this PC is tweaked to connect to the internet at maximum speed (1.5Mbps line in my house).

THE PENTIUM 3 (IMAGE NOT UPLOADED YET DUE TO CENSORSHIP)

The Pentium 3 is in a sorry state of affair. It is in shambles and haunts you even if you took only a glance of it. It has an ill-fated duty of storing hundreds of megabyte of downloaded stuff for over 5 years.

RM 2.70 Fuel Prices with 18% Increase in Electricity

Thats fair news for those who are high up in the status quo in the society. Thats because they got too much cash in their pockets to pay even for the higher petrol price. Whereas, the normal working class citizens suffer the inevitable wreck of hiking food prices.

People who can still drive 2000cc SUVs or those 3000cc Twin Turbo sports car and gloat around nightclubs with their rides should be condemned to extinction. It might be RM 2.70 now but who knows what might be next.

We often see people talking about biofuel, electric cars and other tech words that come out whenever we seek an alternative fuel for transportation but has this really been carried out and standardized? Take the Smartcar for example Smart Fortwo, which costs around RM100,000 here in Malaysia, is a good step towards lessening our dependency on fossil fuel. Still, it will take years for the prices to come down to a level where everyone can enjoy it.

We're talking about something that can be mass produced here, not traditional ad-hoc "just put a wooden plank to cover the leak" type of measure taken by the government. Hiking fuel prices is a reality and you can't subsidize the fuel forever.

Please, take care of yourself before you lash out your already minute treasury to others. RM 8.2 million for Sinchuan earthquake? Your Ringgit value isn't as high as the Pound or USD. Please, let the effluent countries do the donating.

I went to the Medan Ipoh area recently and discovered that some people really do take things for granted. If you were wondering where is Medan Ipoh, its the place behind Tesco Ipoh where alot of nightclubs and discos are located.

So here was I minding my own business when this thing suddenly appeared in my eyes. It was such an eyesore.

It was a poor steel trolley, abandoned by its ungrateful users. Pardon the dark picture, a LED flash phone doesn't work well as a Xenon flash phone.

The inventor of the shopping trolley must be real sad seeing his/her invention being forgotten. Can you imagine a world without shopping trolleys?! Well you gotta carry that 10KG bag of rice back to your car located on the 11th floor then!

My 17 year old younger sister had her mock driving test today (theory) and I regretted in asking the details. She told me about this conversation she had with her instructor, after she failed with a total mark of 76%

Instructor : So how did it go?
Smart-girl : Bad, I thought I only needed my logic to pass the test.
Instructor : Well not all questions are exactly dumb ones, there also ones that need memorizing.
Smart-girl : I did ! I did memorize, and one question's answer was so vivid because my brother always does that.
Instructor : What question would that be?
Smart-girl : Whats the speed limit for the highway.
Instructor : What did you answer?
Smart-girl : 120km/h.

7th May 2008, the day I shall remember as one of the darkest hours on my life. It is the day where an ominous letter came and the day I got a long awaited package from Singapore.

The good news first shall we?

My screen protector from Martin Fields finally arrived in Ipoh. It was shipped from Singapore and costs about RM47.90. But well I guess I am a sucker for all things that could protect my valuable investment: phone.

Typical Malaysian Customs style of opening my package to see whats inside. Busybodies? Such a small package can harbor what, bombs? Or maybe Anthrax. Cmon! Better go check those big parcels that is worth checking.

The bad news or rather letter

I got a letter titled [Urusan Seri Paduka Baginda] thats what you normally see in tax related letters to companies and individuals so the first impression I got from this is
"WTF, I work part time also need to pay tax?! Huh?!"

Well I wished it was that simple, in fact further inspection reveals the mark of the venerable Polis Trafik Malaysia. I'm so dead.
